Bats for Lashes - Daniel:the best song of the year

Bats for Lashes, the stage name of Natasha Khan is an alternative rock musician from Britain.Natasha plays multiple instruments like the piano and the guitar and a couple of few more instruments and she is out with her second album after much critically acclaimed debut album Fur and Gold. She is been nominated for the mercury prize for her second album which is just hours away.Natasha khan has her own style from dressing to writing which is clearly visible from her songs and most importantly she has a deep soulful voice. She is been compared to artist like Kate Bush and Enya....so she is a powerful vocalist who has her own attitude.

Her song Daniel is creating waves all over the world nad also been nominated for Mtv breakthrough video of the year.Over 1.45 million YouTube hits already and rising fast.I am absolutely obsessed with the song, just can't get enough of the song....it's got fresh new exotic beats.A briliant composition with sumptuous melodies....got all the things to be the next anthem...she is heading for some great times ahead.Certainly daniel is the song of the year for me so far and i will come up with my list of the best songs of the year later.

The album "Two suns" has atleast 6 great songs and daniel is the best .Natasha has created an alter ego "pearl" who represents her extreme nature(like eminem used Slim Shady to mock people).pearl is used to describe her destructive,self-absorbed nature exporing her inner-self.The album is full of warmth and unfading spirit but the only drawback of the album is that a few songs are just not upto the high standards she has raised and set for herself....those songs are just not in the league of daniel and pearl's dream. But it is still a great album with lots of experimenting sounds..some are beautiful piano ballads and some are a bit ghostly to listen..but if you still haven't heard daniel yet you people are missing something magical.Just enjoy the song and if some likes it enjoy her music.
