Breaking Benjamin-Dear agony

Breaking Benjamin is all set to release their new album Dear Agony.The release date is 29th of september,the album cover is out and the official track list too.This is their 4th studio album and they have worked on the album for the past 3 years.The expectations are high following up their success with their previous album "Phobia" and the hit single "The diary of jane."

The first single "I will not bow" is out and the official video is also used to promote the Bruce Willis starrer action thriller SURROGATES which will be releasing on the 25th of september across theatres.The video is looking good and the song too but its not a potential massive hit material.The album cover is out and its unusual and getting mix response,its the picture of an M.R.I scan of a brain and on the right side there is a scale and its written BB4 near it,which stands for Breaking Benjamins fourth album.The album has got 11 tracks and they are:

  The ones who care for the planet knows what this song is about,others just listened to it and moved on...the crisis that we are facing today,the way climate has changed in unusual way over the last few years are due to human actions but still people are not willing to accept the facts.our palnet is awake now and strange things and unusual things happening all around the world every year.This year Turkey saw worst flood situations ever,even japan had unusual mud slides..brazil,mexico..India..everyone is experiencing different things...Michael ask the question a long time ago in the song" do we give a damn??".we better start giving it before its too late.

  This words says it all, we better start caring for the planet start lowering our carbon footprint in whatever little ways that we can...this is the only place where there is life..if we continue to pollute at this level by the end of the 2100 there will be 6 degree rise and there will be no future but we are humans we will act sooner or later but a 2 degree rise would wipe all the coastal cities around the world by 2050.And we are losing more money than financial crisis to natural disasters which have become more severe in recent years.Just couple of days of heavy rain and billions of dollars worth of property is gone..we seen that in Taiwan,turkey,brazil,mexico this year......last year in australia

Upcoming New Albums at the end of 2009

Three quarters of the year has gone and the world saw the release of lots of albums from big names to a few debutants.We saw Big names like U2,Greenday,Eminem,Bob sinclair,Dream theatre,Daughtry,Hoobastank,Artic monkeys,The Fray....even Coldplay released a live album called "left right left right left."And there are over 100 days still left and some more names are due to release their new albums.I will write on a few of them in my next posts..right now i will just mentioned what to expect before the year ends.

Linkin Park fans will surely be disappointed coz they have delayed their new untitled album till 2010 which was originally scheduled to be released by this time of the year,but chester bennington will be releasing his new album of his side project Dead by Sunrise.....no no linkin park has not broken up.....Dead by Sunrise is chesters side project like mike shinoda's Fort minnor.The debut album of Dead by sunrise- Out of Ashes is going to be finally released on october 13 and a new single from the album crawl back in is already out now.

Breaking Benjamin is back after their last album phobia....the diary of jane fans are waiting for their new album Dear Agony scheduled to be released on september 29 and anew single is already out..its called" i will not bow"...so Breaking Benjamin fans will get to listen to new material by the end of this month.

Good news for gothic music lovers too,theatre of Tragedy is all set to release their new album Forever is the World.The release date for the album is different for different countries.It will be available on the 18th of september in Germany,Switzerland and Austria.For the rest of Europe the album will be officially released on 25 of september..if not changed at the last minute

Timbaland will be back with shock value 2 before the end of the year,like before he has collaborated with artists like T-pain,Justin timberlake,Jonas brothers, Rihana and many more in this new album.The relase date is not fixed yet.

One republic will be releasing their new album "waking up" on the 17th of november.

Lifehouse is soon to be out with their untitled album by this year too and this time they have a new member.Ben carrey have joined the trio and they should be releasing the new album in a couple of months time.

It will be intersting to see at the end of the year who came out with the best album.I will be focussing on a few artist who is due to release their albums in my nest post...so check that out.

Bats for Lashes - Daniel:the best song of the year

Bats for Lashes,the stage name of Natasha Khan is an alternative rock musician from Britain.Natasha plays multiple instruments like the piano and the guitar and a couple of few more instruments and she is out with her second album after much critically acclaimed debut album Fur and Gold.She is been nominated for the mercury prize for her second album which is just hours away.Natasha khan has her own style from dressing to writing which is clearly visible from her songs and most importantly she has a deep soulful voice.She is been compared to artist like Kate Bush and Enya....so she is a powerful vocalist who has her own attitude.

Her song Daniel is creating waves all over the world nad also been nominated for Mtv breakthrough video of the year.Over 1.45 million YouTube hits already and rising fast.I am absolutely obsessed with the song,just can't get enough of the song....it's got fresh new exotic beats.A briliant composition with sumptuous melodies....got all the things to be the next anthem...she is heading for some great times ahead.Certainly daniel is the song of the year for me so far and i will come up with my list of the best songs of the year later.

The album "Two suns" has atleast 6 great songs and daniel is the best .Natasha has created an alter ego "pearl" who represents her extreme nature(like eminem used Slim Shady to mock people).pearl is used to describe her destructive,self-absorbed nature exporing her inner-self.The album is full of warmth and unfading spirit but the only drawback of the album is that a few songs are just not upto the high standards she has raised and set for herself....those songs are just not in the league of daniel and pearl's dream.But it is still a great album with lots of experimenting sounds..some are beautiful piano ballads and some are a bit ghostly to listen..but if you still haven't heard daniel yet you people are missing something magical.Just enjoy the song and if some likes it enjoy her music.

Mercury prize 2009:and the Mercury album of the year goes to......

Its september and the awards season in music industry has just begun.Mercury Prize 2009 for the best album will be awarded the 8th september,this tuesday.The award is given out to celebrate the best music in the U.K(Britain and Ireland).This is a prestiogious event cause U.K music scene is one of the best in the world.The nominations for the Mercury Album of the year are

These were the twelve nominations.The list may be surprising to many coz the Doves-Kingdom of Rust is missing.Even Lilly Allen and the White lies didnot make it.Everyone has their own opinion and everyone makes their own list and the ones supporting other than the official nominnes are replacing Glasvegas with their favourite artist.So the official list is justified coz Glasvegas are one of the best band in the World right now and one cannot write them off.

On that night for the first time ever all the twelve atist nomnated will perform,its gonna be a great night.The front runners are Kasabian,Glasvegas,Bat for Lashes and Lisa hannigan.

Kasabian came out with some good music and deserves to be on that list and bag the prize.I focussed on Glasvegas in my last post and i will focus on Bat for Lashes in the next one,right now i will mention about Lisa Hannigan.

Lisa Hannigan is out with her debut record "Sea Sew."Untill the relase of this record she was known as an accompanist and backing vocalist for singer-songwriter Damien Rice.She is not new to Damien Rice fans.She has built a devoted fan following among musicians and critics.She has mesmerized everyone with her voice over the years.To the rest of the world she looks like an angel and has a angelic voice too.If someone is expecting her to be dancing around on stage like Britney or Maddona and bang guitars like Avril then you will be surely disapointed.This is a folk/indie album and for mature listeners who have different taste in music.

Lisa penned nine out of ten tracks,an entirely beautiful melodic album with exquisite vocals.Sea Sew is an outstanding album nad the nomination have been well earned.the album been already nominated for several other prizes in her native ireland as well as achieving great success in the U.S.

Best songs in the album are " Ocean and a Rock","i don't know" , " venn diagram" and the single Lille.Lille is an amazing song ,this is folk music at its best.I never listened or liked slow songs or jazz music,never liked Norah Jones but Lisa hannigan is just amazing.When i heard her for the first time in the song " Rootless tree(live from Abbey Road)" by damien rice i was stunned,coz two of the amazing talents singing their heart out to such an emotional song.

Mercury prize has surprised many over the years coz sometimes it went to outsiders who had very less chance of winning, but hopefully a worthy artist will take home the prestigious award this time.I will be happy if Glasvegas wins it.But i will be equally cheering for Lisa and Bat for lashes coz both of them are just great and my next post will be on Natasha whose satge name is Bat for Lashes.She is one artist making headlines with her album this year and also been nominated in the MTV video music awards.

Glasvegas-The Next BIG THING

Glasvegas are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in 2003.The band consists of James Allan(lead vocals,rhythm guitar),his cousin Rab Allan(lead guitar,backing vocals),Paul Dongohue(bass guitar,backing vocals) and Caroline Mckay(drums).

Their first full length studio album Glasvegas released in 8th september 2008.The album was produced by lead singer James Allan and Rich Costley.The album sold 56,000 copies in the first week of release and reached number 2 on the U.K charts.Since then the album has got positive reviews.Everyone who have heard them knows that this is the best debut album in a long long time.In 2008 they were nomonated in almost every award in Europe,they been nominated for Best New Band,Best Album,Best New Act,Best International Act,Best International Album in various awards and they have won a few.They are nominated for 2009 Mercury Prize and their record sales have jumped to over 1000 percent after the nomination,the figures and record sales are increasing every hour.
The self titled debut album is full of rich content.The Q magazine voted glasvegas as the 5th best album of 2008 among top 50 albums.The band is one of the rarest of the rare bands to come to the music scene in a long long time.So they have arrived here and have made an impact.Right now there is not a single better album then this one to listen.The album is full of tales of grief and resilience involving every emotion we go through in our lives and the amazing guitar riffs just stays on in the head.Most of the songs in the album are masterpiece.This is not just a good album,its a GREAT album.

The 5 best songs in the album are:

• Flowers and football tops:-This is the opening song of the album,its about the murder of a teenager Kriss Donald,who was abducted,stabbed 13 times and then burnt alive in 2004.James Allan wrote the song from a mothers's point of view.The lyrics are very touching.Anyone having half a brain and a heart will understand what if it's my child,my mum,what if it's me??Its very hard to see people going through such pain.
• Geraldine:-Geraldine was the debut single with colombia ,they signed the label after picking up the prestigious Philip Radar Award at the 2008 NME awards.
  Geraldine is about a girl named Geraldine Lennon who is a social worker, a friend of James Allans sister Denise ...who is also a social worker.Geraldine Lennon worked for Glasgow city council social work department,on the addiction side.He wrote the song about her and how she works day and night for a noble cause coz its such a thankless job with very less rewards.James Allan told The Daily Record"i wanted to write a poem about a person showing another person compassion." Hmm when did some one last made a song on such a theme??
• Its my own cheating heart that makes me cry:- This song was originally released in february 2008 as a digital download and limited edition 7" single.
  James told The daily Record"its saying that no matter how tough you are if you want to live your live with insincerity then you are doomed."
  Every women who have felt cheated definately will love this song coz they can feel the emotions of the words in the song.And for all the men out there ...stop cheating women if you donot want to end up crying one day .
• daddy's Gone:- This is the song that made Glasvegas famous.This was originally released as a digital download and limited edition 7" single in november 2007.The version released in the studio album in 2008 was a slower tempo.The New Musical Express named this song as the second best song of the year in a list of tracks of 2007.
  The song was written By James in Glasgow when he was an unemployed.The song is about James absent father .But every kid feels the same way when their parents are divorced or live seperately and how they visit them once in a week for few hours and goes back.The kids are always left behind with lots of regret over the things that they have missed out while their parents were gone.
• Lonesome swan:-This is my favourite song and i just listened to it over and over again.I don't have much to say about the song.For me this is one of the best songs i have heard in a long time.
  James Allan said"i was in Andalcia(in south spain) in 2007 and there was a swan-shaped pedalo in the water.There were all the other fancy ones the kids took out but nobody ever took this swan.I used it as a metaphor"

There is a song about the pressures parents put on kids these days.Its called "go square go'.
Another very good song is Fuck you its over.There is also a song about city centre fights and fightings in jail called "stabbed"

This is one great album people should go and buy.They are a different band and everyone who have heard them knows they are unique and they are here to stay for a long time.Its just a refreshing sound from all the shits going on around the world.They are the best band to come out in a long time with such great melodies and words in their debut album.The last amazing debut that i can recall now was by Evanesence with fallen.

The best song by Oasis

Oasis split but fans are still hoping to see them reunite and sing out loud all those great songs they made over the years.They became famous for great songs like Live forever, Wonderwall,Morning glory, Champagne supernova,don't look back in anger,stand by me,some might say,stop crying your heart out and many more.They are even compared by many to The Beatles but they haven't made it big in the U.S...and its not right to compare them.Oasis are who they are because of the words and the melody...fans still sing their songs almost everywhere in the world.

Its hard to pick which is their greatest song coz there are a few of them and every Oasis fans have their personal favorites .My personal favourite is Champagne supernova. Its almost 15 years now but still people are trying to find the meaning of the song and there are a few intelligent people who have critisized the lyrics of the song for years now. Slowly walking down the hall / faster than a cannon ball. The critics always had a problem with this line but they forget to see the opening lines: how many special people change?

A lot of people believe that the song is about drugs due to drug references in the song .Some compared champagne to cocain but doesn't matter anyway whats the meaning of it.But for the ones who have critisized the song they should know that when someone is on a high he feels that he is in a different place where time and space doesn't exist so slowly walking down the hall faster than a cannon ball becomes irrelevant,there is nothing wrong in the line .Yes drugs have changed the lives of many special people and their lives ended in a strange way.From Elvis to Lenon to Curt kobain,drugs had an impact on their lives and since they were big stars evreyone of them died in in a strange way,they died the way stars die with a bang: supernova.

There are a few of them who thinks the song is about Noel and Liam's father,some says its about the girl mentioned in their song wonderwall and some even think that this song had something to do with former front man for " The Stone Roses " Ian Brown and the debate goes on and on and on.Even Noel Gallagher just wrote and never thought about it deeply.Thousands have critisized the song but millions have sung the song over the years whenever its aired on radio,T.V or in any live concerts without any complain.For songs like this the band has a special place in the world of music.

I forgot to tell the world that champagne supernova is Christiano Ronaldo's favourite song and he rates it higher than any of the Beatles song.He heard the song almost everyday when he played for Manchester United. So Oasis is still very big in the U.K.

I wish if humans can survive another 6 billon years and when the day the sun dies the Oasis fans will be singing the song one last time with champagne in hand and we all die with the supernova explosion.But thats 6 billion years away till then all Oasis fans will want to see the brothers reunite sorting their differences once and for all and make music for the kids and the world as long as they live.Yeah thats all can wish for stay togeher fo the kids of today...LONG LIVE OASIS and i wish the reports of Oasis denying split is true.

Oasis-what's next??

Oasis -the greatest band of the 90's from the U.K made headlines for the wrong reasons again.Noel Gallagher quits the band shocking the world and he did it again in the same place: FRANCE.Nine years ago a tour had to be cancelled due to brother rivalries.This time Noel gallagher quits the band as he could not co-exist with his brother Liam.

Noel gallagher announced his departure from the band last friday night just before the performance at the Rock en Seine Festival near Paris and the concert has to be cancelled by the organisers.Fans were shocked and thought it was a joke. Noel wrote on the band's website that " the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me,my family,friends and comrades has become intolerable " and that " the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates."

It is sad that a great band has to end this way but still Oasis fans hope that they would reunite as they are brothers and still somewhere deep down in their hearts love is still alive.Even Noel decides to go solo someday and the band never comes up with any new material,the band still going to be remembered as long as there will be music.This is the band who made dozens of great songs,been criticised for their lyrics and so on.But they are genius when it comes to making good music and they made great songs over the years....they never disappered scoring 3-4 hit singles...they lived on and still they will live on.

Rumours are that Kaiser chief's guitarist Andrew white is set to replace Noel Gallagher in Oasis,but music fans donot want to see another band breaking up. We all hope the brothers take some time out and sort out their differences and continue to make great music.I wish Oasis Live Forever.
